Should You Choose Contacts or Glasses?

Congratulations! You are one of the millions of people who have failing eyesight. You might have first noticed it when driving. Those signs in the distance were maybe becoming a bit blurry. Or perhaps you realized it while watching television. Many people watch with the closed captioning on, but it doesn’t really help when you can’t make out the words on the screen. Regardless of how you figured out your eyes were going, you were instantly presented with a decision to make. Should you go with contacts or glasses?

What Should I Do?

For about a decade or two, it seemed everyone was choosing to go with contacts. However, glasses have been on the rise recently over the last few years. There are pros and cons for both of these. You basically just have to figure out what works best for you.

Guys Don’t Make Passes at Girls Who Wear Glasses

Do you remember this old saying from the past? This couldn’t be furthest from the truth nowadays. While there are numerous people that think wearing a pair of glasses takes away from their looks, it is all about how you carry yourself. There are certainly a few hot librarians out there with thick glasses that no man would pass up. And smart guys with glasses are always in demand by the opposite sex. Don’t let old theories about people who wear glasses affect your choices. Your looks won’t change much at all when you buy a glasses frame.

Why Choose Contacts?

Most people choose contacts because it is simple to include in their current lifestyle. Simply put them in first thing in the morning and take them out before you go to bed. No need for glasses and nobody will ever be able to tell. However, with contacts, you must keep on buying new ones. Still, they are so inexpensive that if you want to continue wearing them for the rest of your life, then have at it.

The Choice Is Yours

It all comes down to what you would like to do. Sometimes one or the other simply clicks with your style. After all, can you imagine Clark Kent without glasses? Clark’s glasses are a part of his look. There is no getting around it. It just fits him better. Once you get used to wearing glasses, you can make the decision to change over to contacts down the road. In any case, being able to see is the most important thing!
